Lexicon 960L / Larc2 question
#1
I have a 960L mainframe sans-Larc2 unit.  I’m trying to figure out a way to get some worth out of it, and it’s been impossible to find a Larc2 unit to control the thing.

Is it possible for me to use 1 Larc2 to control 2 960 units?  Perhaps Larc into one unit, then d sub to d sub from one 960 into s 2nd unit?  This would give me some overkill processing in that department, but would get me some usage out of the unit if one remote could control more than one unit.

I know there’s also midi i/o, but it seems like I’d still need a Larc2 to start digging into controlling the unit that way.

Any ideas or suggestions?  Anyone got a Larc2 for sale?

I contacted Lexicon/Harmon, but they are such a big company that it’s like trying to talk to Samsung or something about a tech question about a tv remote.  Their basic response was “look for a unit 2nd hand on Ebay or Reverb”.

Somebody in Germany is selling 2 of those units together with 3 LARC2 remotes - https://viva-kleinanzeigen.de/Hobby-Freizeit/Musik-Equipment/2-x-Lexicon-960L-Reverb-Effektgeraete-mit-LARC2-Fernbedienungen--1101687.html

E-Mail address is claudiniedermeyer@gmx-topmail.de.

Maybe they are willing to sell one of the LARCs seperately and to post it to the US.

EDIT: I just figured that the same units were for sale in another ad (same text, same pictures, same price) from 6 months ago. So better be careful if you decide to contact the seller...not sure if it's the same person or if this is spam. The price for two units including 3 LARCs is suspiciously low imo.

Would a simple D-SUB splitter cable be worth a try ?
